I just got the email from that download day thing, they are going for a record apparently, there must be loads and loads of people downloading it, because I've been downloading it for at least 5 minutes now and it's barely half finished.

Try pausing the porn torrents. That should help.

Quite possibly. How large is the file?

About 7 MB, all sorted now, had to download it a second, and quicker time, because for some reason wouldn't work first time.

Interesting set up they've got, haven't done much with it, but it transferred all my bookmarks well, but most of my add ons won't be working, so I'll have to be waiting until they get updated.

!!!

How do you transfer bookmarks? Every time my Firefox updates, I lose all my bookmarks! It is very troublesome to try and remember all the pages I had bookmarked. Would you suggest any add-ons also? I never seem to have any good ones and they end up just slowing down my system.

K...needs help!

I have no idea why my bookmarks were transferred, but yours not.

Here are a couple of links that I quickly found though:

http://kb.mozillazine.org/Mozilla_Firefox
- a big list of possible problems that I often consult

And from this I found:
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Bookmarks
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Import_bookmarks
- these ones talks about bookmarks, being able to import and export them from a backup location.

I actually just because I found this, set myself up a backup of my bookmarks, so it's not hard to do.

Hope that helps. πŸ˜›

Hmm a little bit. I love the new Firefox by the way. Just a random question but do you know the shortcut to switching to another tab? Also, any add-ons you'd like to suggest?

It's my understand that you can simply click the scroll button on a mouse, on the 'home' icon, or such, and it would quickly open a new tab.

Add ons, (which work with firefox 3):
Download statusbar
Greasemonkey
Image zoom
Resizable textarea
Searchbar autosizer

Seemingingly non-working but still cool add ons:
TinyUrl creator
Linkification
(damn, I hope they update these)
Mouse gestures
Fasterfox
Adblock plus

The best thing about Firefox 3 (in my opinion) is that it passes the acid test.
As do Opera 9 and the upcoming Internet Explorer 8. Web development for
the major desktop environments is about to become a whole lot easier and
way more fun. 😏

If the crappy smiley face displays properly, your browser's rendering ability meets web standards.

If the crappy smiley face looks like a bomb has hit it and bits of it are spread about all over the page, your browser is rubbish.
