Firefox freezes me out...

I do not like the idea that it happened at the time I loaded Firefox. Loading Firefox that night, then the next day my computer told me to put in the boot disk. I do not have the boot disk, so I had to take it to the shop. I lost some files that I spent more then six months working on. I will not ever get back some of the pictures that I lost. If Firefox did that and I loaded it again?

It was worse then that. For the first time in some eight years I had a computer component go bad. The Hard Drive went out.
