OH MY GOD I'M GOING TO FAIL.....WAAAHHHHH, BAAAASSSSTTTTAAARRRRDDD.

Who decided that reversing around the corners should be in the test...SADISTS, that's who.

And if they'd just let me cross my hands a little bit...do the testers actually drive in the city, or do they fly them in on helicopter to make us all feel like tools 🙁

I now plan to have many lessons.....i hate driving tests.

I have all the faith in the world, that you can pass the test. You can do it Huck! 🙂

I failed my driving test for the third time in a row today. I really thought I'd nail it but my instructor got me on three serious faults that were pretty damn trivial I reckon. But oh well, booked a test for 10th Jan so fingers crossed for the fourth time 🙁

If you can't drive, do us all a favor and stay off the road.

... backing around a corner is actually a good skill. I do it every day when I back out of my driveway... 😛

Lone Knight, how do you fail 3 times? Thats just bad driving.

Off topic, but I think cyclists need to pass drivers tests too. They would have to take them young as well since in most states, it is illegal to ride a bike on a sidewalk....

If your instructor was any good then he should have taught you a technique to make reversing around corners very easy. Mine taught me a technique that never seemed to fail. If your instructor seems to be not very good, bin him and get a new one. Lessons are after all ,tantamount to extortion, and you should expect the very best for the money you pay.

I've been driving for a year on my own already mate. Over here the provisional/full licence thingy isn't enforced very much, partly due to the length of the waiting lists for tests, and partly due to the fact that the police have a lot more pressing things to fill their time with.

That was my first lesson since last december.

Sounds like you need to back-up more if you're worried about it. Try it with a full-size RV and tailer. That's always fun.

I used to have an MG, and I would reverse up the road at about 35, pull the break and jam it into second making a James Bond turn.

I often wonder why my transimission finally gave out.

I give lessons for a small fee, I must warn you that I do like to drive really fast(80 to 90 MPH) and then suddenly turn left into a controlled skid until I'm going the way I was just coming from. If I am real good I get to do that 400 times before the other 49 cars with me do.

My grandfather learned how to drive when he had to get a friend (who had been driving) to the hospital in an emergency. After that experience he took a driving test and passed. He didn't know how to turn left, but he was lucky and only had to turn right. Those were the times!
