Fitting music onto a disk, help please

Recently downloaded some concert music, alas I can't fit it onto a C.D. as it is to large does anyone know how to split the file up into two sections?

Download and install this: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ Then load the sound file into it and place two versions of it onto tracks, one on each.

Cut the audio on both tracks at the point you want to split the CDs and delete the second section from the first track and the first section from the second track.

Pull what is left on the second section back to the start of the track so you should now have two different tracks, one under the other.

Mute the second track and export/bounce the audio from the first track.
Mute the first track and export/bounce the audio from the second track.

Burn them onto separate CDs.

Instead of this, you could also try converting the whole thing to mp3 format, which will be smaller, if you can find a converter somewhere.

You could also burn it on a dvd. [if you have a dvd burner of course]

Thank you very much for the advise, my holiday is now sooo much better now that I can blot the screaming kids out my new music.These forums are a fantastic source of excellent advice, once again....nice 1!!
