Years ago I was watching a survival show and the guy was by himself in the wilderness, and was starving. He caught a rabbit....but couldn't eat it yet...because he said he didn't have any water, and that water was necessary for digestion. He finally found water, then ate.
Up until watching that show, I really didn't know that water was necessary for digestion.
These days I see many eating food, but drinking everything else except water. They drink soda, coffee, tea, wine, beer, etc. with their meals.....but no water.
What do you drink with meals? And does drinking other beverages maybe cause indigestion or heartburn? Anyone know?
(I will Google this in the near future, but wanted to see what the RHP community thinks)
@chaney3 saidI caught about 4 nice trout, and found a beer tree later.

@chaney3 saidFirst off
If you're done with the awful humor??
Do you drink water with meals?
The guy on the show is an obvious buffoon. Rabbit is a poor protein source. Humans can't properly digest it so a continued diet of rabbit can result in protein poisoning aka rabbit starvation.
Water during or after a meal may help digestion, but isn't essential for digesting food.
@gambrel saidIt was one rabbit, not a continuous supply of rabbits.

So you're belief is that water isn't necessary for digestion. Thanks.
Note: not sure why a survival guy would say that. I don't think he was a buffoon.
@chaney3 saidHe's worried about water for digesting an unusable protein source.

Buffoon
@chaney3 saidYou said a survival show. So I'd prefer to pick apart the post as a whole. His survival priorities are wrong. Shelter and fire are higher priorities then water and food last. You can die from exposure and hyperthermia faster than thirst or hunger. Within less than 72 hours dehydration will be evident. You can go without food for about 5-7 days.
Whatever.
You're taking the focus off of the main question here by harping on the rabbit.
He didn't specify drinking water because of the damn rabbit, he focused on digesting food period.
Sheeeeesh.
As for the water question I answered it with fact, not opinion.
Are you always such a panty knot?
@gambrel saidYou're being an idiot!!

Yes, I said it was a survival show, but gave NO details about his situation with regards to his shelter, a fire, the last time he ate, etc.
I only brought up the show to explain why I was asking the question in the first place.
No worries, because nobody else seems to give a shyte about the question anyway.
Lol lol.
(By the way, I will Google this first before believing what you said is a fact)
@gambrel saidI explained in the OP that I would Google at a later time, but was looking for feedback from the RHP community.
You should have done that BEFORE looking like an ass. But I blame that on genetics.
Instead, all I got was a retarded joke, from you, followed by an attitude, and a focus on the rabbit.
Next time, if you have some useful information, share it without being a dick.
@chaney3 saidYou got information from me, you supplied the dick.

@gambrel saidRabbit is great in a stew or if you are making a rabbit pie.

I wouldn't try surviving on just eating rabbit.
