Woodgate would be a good option too, though I am not sure how match fit he is. If we are going to play 17 year old Rooney for experience why not play one of a younger defenders as well - it was not as if we were playing a top 20 team on the weekend.

it really annoys me to see him make a good run up the wing only to have to waste his effort by turning and backtracking to enable him to make the cross!
