A gentle man who plays chess here, is not playing right now because his wife is quite ill and hospitalized. I thought it would be nice to make a thread of support for him, should he have time for a peek in the forums.....

My thoughts and prayers are with you. May God grant your wife his peace and give you stregth and comfort.

Perhaps you should have posted this in the Spirituality forum? While it's okay to give fellow members support, it's not okay to force your belief about God onto the rest of us. For example:

I don't believe that the infinite creator of the universe allows people to suffer, but then changes his mind *if* someone like yourself asks him to. This is a real insult to the God I know.

May YOUR God grant his wife peace as well then. Eh?

Can't disagree with you per say, but your post isn't really in the spirit of the thread is it. 😳

My thoughts are with you and your wife IHN, may you get through this troubled time.

Noone is forcing you arrakis. In his name's user name and his status as a former member of the Apostles speaks well enoguh to his believe. We offer him comfort, not criticism, in his time of need.

Arrakis is a twit and has proved time and time again that you can live a relatively normal life with a 2X4 up your ass.

Who cares what he thinks?

i think this is a joke thread, or startesd off that way. not so long ago a thread was started up called congratulations to meman. meman timed out in his name even tho his vacation sign was up stating his wife was in hospital. was this thread intended to make him feel a little worse?

even tho I don`t pray and never have thats not what this thread is about, its about one person`s problems and the pain and suffering they are going through, and the support that people around the world can give him, regardless of religion. Suffering is shared by all.

My condolences and sympathies are with you.

Leave it to some jackass to try to ruin a serious thread...
