Hi, I was wondering about the Uchess site player ratings, the top 12 names there are the same player. This player has played multiple names against each other to "cheat" these names to top ratings! This is very obvious by the game history that every game is ONLY 3 moves long and that the different names are "2000" to "5339" rated after ONLY 20 games. This seems unfair to the honest players that earn their ratings the right way. I know you have taken down other players there for playing multiple names a lot less blatant then this, so i assume you will do the same with this player. Is there anyway you can prevent this from happening again? This player claims there is some glitches in the site and rating system and will just do it again when these names are taken down. I do not know how he did it but while i was on Uchess today he made the top 11 names rated 2100 to 5339 in a 1/2 hour time! How can this happen! Iam speaking for many at Uchess when i say i sincerely hope you can fix this problem. It is hard enough for a girl to play on chess sites but this just makes it no fun at all. Thank you for taking the time to read this. sportgirl.

LOL - do we think he is cheating by using an engine?

I mean, I know that cheating accusations will be moderated but this is purely hilarious. 😀

I came into this thread hoping 'sportgirl' had decided to post revealing pictures in gratitude to Russ.

I was sorely disappointed.

You seemed rather versed in the details of players ratings...without ever playing a game? Might you have multiple personalities as well?

Wow, all of mystery man's games were three moves long and ended in checkmate, must be a super powerful engine!

No thanks...the guy could have saved himself a move and done it in two if he'd taken the black pieces

I cleared up over at uChess this morning. And tried to prevent the offender doing it again.

Has anybody else actually got this in a real game? I had it in an OTB competition nearly 3 years ago - I'm not sure who was more shocked: me or my opponent!

(Actually it wasn't exactly as above; it went 1. g4 e5 2. f3 Qh4, but same principle)

I've had variations off of it in quick skittles games, with a few moves added, no tournament player should be that stupid though. I'm surprised that an 1800+ player wasn't aware of the mate in two that's possible if the opponent is a moron.

You have to be 1800+ to enter an OTB tournament?

Nooooo, I was refering to Ragnorak asking how it was possible for a mate in two. Rag is rated 1800+ on this site.
