If you're a US citizen, you're an American, end of. If you're not a citizen you're labelled by your country of citizenship. If I lived in America I'd be an Australian living in America, not an Australian American. That's just stupid.

@kewpie saidThis seems just an attempt to white-wash people's personal and ancestral history to be all the same. Worker bee thinking. Certain Americans have had to deal with prejudice. No kidding. Let them have their heritage. They've earned that minimum of respect.
