I'm not a real F1 fan and only recently started watching it a bit more on Sunday afternoons.
Will someone just give Kimi Raikkonen a proper car so that Michael Schumacher and Ferrari can stop winning everything.
The new rule changes has only had a small effect on MS's season start but now he looks unbeatable again... making F1 a boring one man show again.
GO McCLAREN!!

Micheal Schumacher may be arrogant, boring, and have the worlds worst dress sense but he is a exceptional driver and he wins because he deserves it. If he was in the McLaren he would win, if he was in the Williams he would win, If he was in Renault he would win. I am not saying he would win as many races but he would still win, and probably push very hard for the title as well. This is simply because he is the best driver by such a huge margin.
The only way to bridge the gap between Schumacher and the rest is really by giving the other drivers a mechanical advantage, with even goods quaylity comes through.
Shame Schumacher never got a change to really go head to head with Senna, then we really would have seen how good he is, and that is the one thing that will always taint his reputation as a driver.

Ferrairi were nothing when Schumacher joined the team. The impact of Schumacher leaving Ferrairi would be as great as the impact on McClaren when Senna left.

They're one of the fastest cars in the world.
1 fact about 1 of their drivers, Barrichelo:
Hardly known before joining Ferrari.
Originally posted by CFCbarichello wasn't unknown before ferarri-he kicked up quite a storm with stewart. and i think that kimi is himself a deserved winner-he is extermly fast, although not quite schumacher. does anyone remeber damon hill leading the race in his arrows? i think he ended up in 3rd in a circuit that wasn't arrows best, and with a pretty much full pack behind him...there are very few drivers out there that have got that "edge". schumacher is one, and so was damon, and hakkinnen when he had the confidence (i remeber his first win!!! i was happy...)-and also senna. but kimi, with a bit more experience, could be one of them... and i do think that ferarri have the superior car, although the gap isn't quite as big as last year (thankfully!). and the new qualifying procedures etc? they add that little something that's been missing of late...since hakkinnen stopped being really competitive, and ferarri have had it all their own way...

I just wish there were four or five other drivers on the same level, to make it a bit more competitive. MS is a freak of nature. Today his car caught on fire in the pits and he lost about 10 seconds, but he still passed Kimi to win by 8 seconds. Unbelievable.
And I just don't like Schumacher 😛
Although it does become boring to the casual observer if the same guy wins, these guys aren't just drivers, they test and develop the cars, giving feedback to the engineers.
So Schumacher has more or less built Ferrari up from the days when they hadn't won a championship for decades.
At the moment there has been no-one to compare to him. Montoya was hyped as a competitor but he hasn't shaped up.
I would like to see DC fulfill his potential (he should have won in Brazil!!), but there are one or two who might compete with Michael now - Alonso and Raikkonen for two.
I agree it's a shame Senna and Schumi couldn't go head to head. WHen Senna was around there were a lot of good drivers - Mansell, etc. and Senna still dominated a lot of the time!
As stated, the reason Ferrari wins is Schumi. The car goes as fast as barrichello or irvine drove it.The rest is Schumi. It was the same when he drove bennetton and would be the same if drove williams or whatever. It took 2 years after Micheal signed before ferrari got results. That was 2 years of slowly improving the car thru driver feedback from Micheal.
If you want to make F1 more competitive, then send Schumi to Indy or rallys or something.Heck, send him over to NASCAR 🙂
