forum content

I thought the content of this forum was going to be policed more closely. There
is more rubbish on here than there ever has been. Now we have everyone babbling
on about multiple nicks, a constant harangue of anti-xenophobe hysteria, and an
occaisional stupid post by myself, all of which has brought the content of the
forums to its nadir. I would expect the level of discourse being exhibited here
to typically be found in a bowling alley, not a chess site.

Pardon me if I am wrong, but I thought that the whole idea of
a "Forum" is for people to exchange views, discuss matters, ask
questions, or just to voice their opinions. However individual views,
matters, answers, and opinions are rarely agreed upon by the
majority. A reply of your own view or opinion is more likely to stir the
contravercy that it is to resolve it. Therefore my "view" of the "matter,"
and this is only my "opinion" is......If you don't like what you read, or
just down-right disagree, well then good! Write about it! Tell the whole
freaking room what you think. That is what forums are for, right?

perhaps this is mere stress relief after the intensity of concentration
and build up of nerves over chess moves in very important games. I
dont begrudge anyone a good laugh at my expense. xxx
