You're transparently desperate as you continue seeking to be seen as some sort of "judge of the forum".

Really man, you should clean your own glass house of forum-speak first.
Its windows are filthy!

Not much of a forum reboot then. Please restore settings to April 5th 2015. All data after that date will be lost and all forum infighting forgotten.

LOL@trev.....May have to go back further than that! πŸ™‚

Renovate the place! Same sofas and carpet since 2008. Curtains replaced in 2011 with some ugly mini blinds. Wall still has vomit stain, NYE party 2006. They claim it was Chris's cat. Must be a lion lol

It was the age of foolishness, and it was the age of foolishness.

I'm not against this, but on my side it seems you are proposing some kind of "forgive and forget" scenario where no-one actually apologizes.

Hm. So maybe the lot falls to me, who -- although not necessarily the better man (j/k -- I absolutely am, albeit only by the slightest of degrees -- Sorry! Haha, tbh of course it's by much more than that, but I'm trying to be modest for the sake of helping something to happen) -- perhaps could apologize first for the sake of making amends and patching things up, e.g., especially regarding that remark I made years ago in the Clans forum about you tossing your snorkel out of your pram.

Well, if that remark of mine was the dead butterfly of dinosaur times that resulted in all the branching, unintended consequences that have led us to the unfortunately pernicious forum miasma in which we all struggle now,

then first I think it would be important to ask why a man in his 50s or so at the time was so ill-equipped to absorb or deflect even such a silly comment as that.

In which case, I might be willing to forgive you, if we could sometime share even a brief moment of humility rather than pride.

[RHP says I have about 9000 characters remaining for this post, but this seems like a good place to stop, and I think probably most everyone else would agree. πŸ˜‰ ]

I'd like to see certain posters uninstalled before the reboot.
Additionally, I’d like to see a more aggressive anti-spam filter applied after the reboot.

Without you, would there even be a need for the thumbing system?

That might be even more beneficial. πŸ˜‰

Well, I guess that kind of thing can happen, even to a man of your advanced years, whom one might have expected to have developed or even cultivated some degree of maturity and wisdom.

"Being generally despised for a larf" is not a goal that anyone I ever respected would have aimed for.
