I have noticed over the last two world cups though, that the so called 'weaker' teams are getting stronger. I think on an International level, the gap is slowly closing.
Either that, or both teams were afraid to commit a lot forward, due to fear of losing their opening game. They will both have to be more positive in the following games though.
