It is funny, but what is it with American audiences and clapping? It's as if they're going "I appreciate it more than you because I'm making more noise!"
A British audience would show their appreciation by laughing (just as long and hard as the yanks) and then clapping at the end, in a civilised fashion.
I don't get it, doesn't the clapping detract from other peoples viewing pleasure?
