They did a good job dubbing that:

Although I don’t understand “much” German, it’s still funny.🀣

In Sweden we never use dubbing to translate films, only subtitles. The films are genuine, the actors and voices real and it helps us appreciate new languages.

It would be better if we did that in Germany, but the market is big and people like to watch without thinking...

I watched the original "Funny Games" in German with subtitles. That wasn't a funny movie. But it was very good.

Yes, but they were rather lop-sided: Only one team played voluntarily.

Let me guess. It wasn't the losing team, right?

Loved it! Hilarious!!!

The American remake wasn't too bad either.
I was especially happy when Peter Dinklage reprised his role as "the secret lover". πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

It is great fun, indeed, and underrated by many. I really enjoyed the twists and turns. πŸ™‚

lol, great one. No they could never do this today.

"Is it twue what they say about you people? It's twue, it's twue!!"
or
"Where all the white women at?"

holy cow.
Yeah, I don’t think Blazing Saddles would get past the PC censors today.

I second your choice of Strangelove. Brilliant movie. Splendid casting. Sterling Hayden as the paranoid general, “precious bodily fluids”, and George C Scott as the equally mad general in the war room, were great.”Gentlemen, you can’t fight in here! This is the war room.”

Lol that was awesome. Remember what Sterling Haden drank? Pure grain alcohol that he mixed it with
pure rain water "precious bodily fluids" lol really funny stuff. I split a gut with that movie.

Remember when George C. Scott (the BIG General) caught the Russian guy taking a picture of the
board depicting the flight of the B52 with the bomb? He starts wresting the guy to get his camera/watch
away from him and the President and others go to break it up. George C. Scott hollers out,
"But he's taking pictures of the BIG board!" lol what a friggin' panic. The world is coming to an abrupt end
and that is all those two could think of. And of course the best scene ever, Slim Pickens jumping on to
the nuke bomb to free it up, and he rode it down waving his cowboy hat, yelling "Heeeeeeeeeee haaaaaaaaaaaaaaa"
So many great memories. That was a Brit production. So well done.

A recent film with some dark humor to it is "The Ballad of Buster Scruggs". I've watched it a couple of times.

Best Steve Martin movie for me was Parenthood. For me the best comedy is observational and the grandmother's comment at the end makes the film for me.
Gonna have to check it out now.

Will I get it if I've never been a parent?

@divegeester I found the big Lebowski mainly unfunny...while I share most of your list (didn't see the Spinal tap movie, but my son highly recommended that one.

I like Monsiuer Claude und seine Töchter (orig. French: Qu'est-ce qu'on a fait au Bon Dieu?) {English: Serial (Bad) Weddings}
The Big Lebowski is a good film, I'd even say a great film. It's chock full of phrases that became memes, especially in America, like "The Dude Abides."

I understand how a European might not get the humor, as it comes from a distinctly American slacker vibe. The narration by Sam Elliott seems almost out of place, because I can't see a cowboy understanding the slacker vibe either. I've never been a slacker, at least not like the Dude, but I met plenty of them in college, and man, Bridges is spot on in his portrayal.
