Originally (for me) everyone was a non-sub because the site was totally free. I think we started without active game limits, but as membership quickly increased, the workload on the server started being a problem so limits were introduced, followed by voluntary financial contributions to upgrade to bigger servers, followed by forums, tournaments, clans, with the need for more server upgrades and then finally, subscriptions.
The maximum game limit has varied over the years but I am thinking the first non-sub games limit may have been ten or twelve.

But since I am not a subscriber at this time I do see the advertisements, I cannot join a clan, cannot create a club, cannot enter tournaments, etc.
But as I am also an "original pawnstar", which the white star icon represents (contributor before subscriptions were introduced), I believe I can play unlimited games. I have not tested that since I do not enjoy playing more than five or six games at one time.

I have played some new people back years ago and I remember one person asking me if I could move quick because he only had 6 games he could play at one time. I told him sure just to make it unrated as the rating would affect my rating which in turn affects my Clan Rating which can cause conflicts and have.
In a few months you'll be here for 20 years!!! I can't believe I am here for 15 already. I know you've seen many changes over the years, more than most of us here. There are only a handful of you left now I believe of the Original members.
