I’m only here once a month max so I miss a lot of course, I admit that. But why do people here gang up on others so obviously. I’m not saying this is a bad site or anything, I know there are many much worse.

It's because we like each other.

Sibling Rivalry so to speak.

Some have been here for almost 20 years.
I talk to these people 10 times more than my own family.

Real family sucks. 😒

Most of it is just playful fun...about 10% in my opinion is people just being nasty.

Majority of people on here are good people, some just don't see things in the same way. If that were the case it would be quite boring for everyone.

Some chess sites don't have a forum. Some are very strict, and some of the things said here would get you booted on some of them. I am presently on two other sites where a lot of the things we say to each other here wouldn't be allowed. Their forums suck, but the chess site is great for playing chess, which I love to do so suits me well.
