These bills are for a manditory draft. All boys and girls, age 18-26, are eligable, even if you are registered for or attending school. They are trying to pass these bills while the public's attention is focused on the upcoming election. If they pass, drafting will begin in June of 2005. I urge you all to do something about this right away! The following online petition is a good start:

What if they held a war and nobody came? Apparently the answer to this is a draft.
But anyways, if Bush wins the election then I'll be 17 almost 18 when theres a new election. If we start another war, I might have to go! I want to finish school and get a job, not die half way around the world in the name of Bush! Plus my sisters friends family will move to Canada if this passes. Their mom says she won't have her sons killed in Iraq.
