    I posted a message last week on this subject..The response time is getting slower & slower. Sometimes I just give up in disgust and exit..Not my machine's problem..All my other programs work at opyimum speed..What gives?

    Take a breath, slow down a bit and all will be well. It's chess (a game) for goodness sake. What's the rush? "All my other programs work at optimum speed" so don't sweat it.

    I've been working on a nuclear oven that can make popcorn in 3 nanoseconds. Why wait up to 3 endless minutes for a snack.

    I agree, as long as you don't need your pc for work, then as long as it gets things done is fine with me - sometimes slows up a bit , but generally there is always something else to keep me occupied while pc is getting itself together
