THIS IS NOT MEANT AS A DEBATE THREAD...
I am participating in a group project in which, simply put, we have to research specific effects of global warming. These specific areas are: the receding and melting Arctic glaciers, dying coral reefs, beach deterioration (through rising water levels and strengthened natural disasters), and tree migration (the process by which cool-climate trees appear more in the cooler north and less in the warmer south). Simply put, I am looking for credible and specific websites, although easily accessible books and articles wouldn't hurt.
You may ask why I don't go to Google, Wikipedia, etc., and I'll go ahead and say I already have. I am simply hoping that some of my fellow RHP players may be among the more experienced in knowledge of these specific areas (professors, scientists, etc.) who may know about areas of research that I do not.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance, -Witty
I'm not a specialist in your area of study, but wondering if I could help.
you may know this already, but anyway just in case:
elsevier's sciencedirect.com is a database for scientific journals, easy keyword search, author search etc. some journals you need to sign up to read, but if you use college computer they might be able to give you athen's passwords. Be friend with librarians, they are usually very helpful people. ISI web of knowledge is another good one, but again, you may need athen's password.
Sounds interesting project. Good luck!!!!
