Apparently there have been many "Go England" and "Go Scotland!" cheers.I think its for soccer. So I want to proudly announce that for the first time ever, Iran has made it into the World Cup Finals.

You're a little slow off the mark, they first qualified for the world cup finals in Argentina in 1978, where they drew 1-1 with Scotland

They also qualified in 1998 when they beat USA 2-1

Worth a bet perhaps? Remeber Greece last year. at 100:1 it was a big winner for a couple of people I know. I was working at a bookies at the time, and some lad who worked there kept telling me toput a bet on, even if it was only a quid. 'Waste of money' I said. 😕

I sure hope that if the Iranian team doesn't perform well, they have a better reception than what awaited Iraq's team a few years ago.

Remember 1978 when Scotland got beaten by Peru 3-1, then went on to beat Holland 3-2 who then went on to the final to lose to Argentina.

It was 3-2 for Scotland, Scotland needed to win 3-0 to qualify.
