Good Charlotte deserve respect, they are not bad people, it is just that they were misled when they were young.........it tells you about their life story mostly in these songs: "emotionaless" and "thankyou mom" and "SOS"
all the other songs are just plain catchy and great!
These songs do have a meaning, you know, take some time to listen to them and experince their hardship of growing up without the best that they could get.......
Its not always what you see on the outside like their funky hair and black clothes......its what they do for other younger kids who also feel left out and neglected.
If you feel down and need cheering up, these songs helped me.(order from great to good)

Correct me if this is inaccurate, but the Sex Pistols have an anti-society attitude (Anarchy in the UK), whereas Slayer's attitude is anti-religion (God Hates Us All).
Anti-society is kind of the paradigm of punk, anti-religion is the paradigm of black metal (I think Slayer are generally described as thrash metal, but their message is definately black metal)

In all honesty, Good Charlotte is the best band ever (don't care for Simple Plan). Their music is okay, but the stuff it does to my dad is just awesome (be glad I'm not your kid 😛). "You're grounded." That means hours and hours of Good Charlotte being played as loud as my stereo will let me (which is loud enough to make my room shake). This gives dad his own personal hell. And it ultimately leads to, "If I take you off restriction, will you stop playing that noise???"

Kerry King's solos are so great because they just hit you from out of nowhere. Everyting's cool then all-of-a-sudden: DOUBLE-TIME, SUPER THRASH SOLO! Lovely.

Back in the day, if I would have done that in my Dad's house he'd just taken either the power cable to the stereo, the stereo itself or Good Charlotte CD's away, if I didn't turn it down.
