Yes. Read up on this one recently and what crossed my mind are those poor people that went on a strict fat free diet [on the advice of health experts]. Lots of these people still died from heart attack at a relatively young age. Lack of fat also lead to dementia in older people. The brain and heart apparently love fat of the right type.

The sugar is an interesting one. Small amounts of cane or beet sugar is not as bad as high fructose corn syrup which is now used in almost all soft drinks, candies, cakes and other sugary factory foods.
