There's quite a few in the Northern Quarter, which is near Piccadilly and a great place to go out.

Try the Hilton Chambers, or the Hatters.

(EDIT: Plus, if you get bored, you can nip up to Bolton and watch Bowmann chasing prostitutes.)

I wish I did.

I ended up camping at camp Zlaté Piesky which is best described as Darth Butlins.

Spent one night in the showerblock watching lightning striking the main road, as I'd pitched camp directly under a tall tree (was almost impossible not to though) and was certain a frying was on the cards...

I'd be in a taxi. Oldham Street to Piccadilly is at the VERY outer limits of how far I am prepared to walk.

If my memory's right, I stayed there and I would definitely agree it's a good one. And a little exercise won't hurt you.

I've booked the Hatters. Seems to suit my needs perfectly.

Anybody else going to the Roy Keane Testimonial?

So next question... What are the good pubs in Manchester?

Thanks for your contribution.

Are you performing between the 8th and 10th May? And where? I could do with a good laugh.

Loads of places in the Northern Quarter, although more bars than pubs.

Cord's (just off Tib Street) is small but pretty cool. Night & Day (Oldham Street) is good; the Dry Bar (also Oldham Street) is not bad, as well as being big and having nice sofas.
