A bunch of cantankerous gits wheezing on at each other about site politics of astoundingly little consequence.
That's the shorter version..
And sometimes the truth hurts. 😉 Oops that should be :'(

If it wasn't a rushed decision that makes it worse. It should have been investigated first.
IN MY OPINION.
I am sure Chris felt it would just be easier to just remove the avatar as not everyone would understand it's intention. It's just an avatar on a chess site, Sushill is not having his whole "right to free speech" taken away - whoever said that is being melodramatic. Maybe it's time we all just accept the admin's decision and move on. This is not the end of the world and the sun will probably still rise tomorrow if we don't make hundreds of posts complaining about something blown way out of proportion.

If you are uninterested in reading the thread, no one is forcing you to.

Sushill needs to take it like a man and move on.

If you accept the idea that ANY material should be removed IF a few people find it "offensive" and bitch about it, you are accepting a sterile and banal forum (perhaps I should say a "steriler" and "banaler" forum).
