A good catholic girl would never make fun of the Lords Prayer.

I say Shame on you!
That depends on what you think constitutes a "good Catholic."

I would never want to be part of a religion that is too uptight to laugh at itself.

A good Roman Catholic, is one who does not make fun of the Lords Prayer, the Our Father. Just for starters....Or run down their own religion, no good Catholic does that. I believe it is ignorant, to make fun of somones religion.

Just the same as it is wrong to make fun of someone because of their race.

I repeat - "I would never want to be part of a religion that is too uptight to laugh at itself."

Besides, if people don't want their religions to be made fun of, they shouldn't choose such funny religions.

Oh come on Rusty don't judge a persons personal relationship with God based on a few jokes. Jesus had a healthy sense of humor. He invented Ostriches, Kangaroos, Koala bears, and hopscotch. Don't tell me those don't make you laugh.

Actually God didn't invent he created. I really don't think making fun of someones religion funny, the same as making fun of someones race. Those are two things to me that you just don't do.

There was a group of them, and they were definately making fun of the Roman Catholic religion. Saying swear words, saying God was a fairytail, I see no humor in any of this.

Yes it is a pity, especially when you are doing it to incite and instigate, and for no other reason!

I am a devout christian as yourself i presume.
however anyone with the maturity of a twelve year old surely knows that it is not fair to treat your own beliefs as those deserving of respect. While you disagree with the non-christians and they with you, it is not fair to them to assume that they are out to offend you when they express their views.

Read from page 41 just to get the jest of what was going on, it was meant to incite, and instigate, even a 12 year old would see that, see if you can, you got what 6 years on a 12 year old. Dry behind your ears, and don't try preaching to me son. If I ignore future posts of yours, it is simply because I am not going to argue with a boy.

I doubt Jesus would turn in his grave over a few jokes. I am Christian, but luckily I also have this neat ability to laugh at myself and my believes and don't mind a jab now and then.

Are you actually a Christian? Jesus is not in a grave, you would know that if you were a Christian. What you and the others were doing from page 41 was making fun of the Catholic Religion to incite and intigate, and that is a fact, it has nothing to do with laughing at yourself.

Only for the last 20 years or so. 'Twas a figure of speech. Yes it does and it was all in good fun.

It is a poor figure of speech, and there is nothing in good fun about it , when it is done to incite and instigate. All one has to do is read from page 41.
