Africa's mostly low-res mapped as opposed to, say, New York where you can see people walking in the street. But you can have a good time looking at the Pyramids which show up nicely. Pearl Harbour in Hawaii comes up well - especially that sunken ship from WWII (forget it's name - Yorktown?). The Indian government were upset about this service a few months ago, claiming that you could see their one aircraft carrier in Mumbai and parliament buildings etc. I don't know what their problem is - I count what looks like two aircraft carriers. Tried to have a look at Diego Garcia but it's a smudge - wonder why?
was looking for the fire in north london .can't see it. So I dont know if it is live images or not.

I'd hate to think how much time and effort would be required for the top resolution covering everywhere on earth.
My suburb here in Christchurch is just a big blur at the top resolution. There used to be a site with all of New Zealand taken from a hot-air balloon at excellent resolution (equal if not better than the best Google offers) but I can't remember the address.

was thinking more on the live bit. half the planet is in darkness at any one time. so yes it was a no brainer.
also was looking at diego garcia before. just the names of the bays appear. aw shucks🙂
will take a look at the pyramids and eyefull tower today, pretty hard to get an eyefull from space no matter how many pidgeons there are 🙂.
airlines are going to be losing money at this rate.
