@great-big-stees saidYou get that off of Whoopi Goldberg? 😉
Get the shot, wear a mask, social distance and whatever the other things are oh ya, brush your teeth.

@very-rusty saidNot that I'm aware of though I have seen her act.

@great-big-stees saidBetter half watches it every day and Whoopi usually says something similar at the end of the show. I do half listen to it while playing in the forums.

@jmwinrider saidI got the first dose of Pfizer vax in early March, going back next week for the second. No problems. I hear that the second shot has more side effects, but most I talked to about it had the Moderna shot.
@divegeester
I got my first shot of pfizer a couple days ago, getting the next on the 20th. I had some soreness and maybe a low grade fever for about a day. Back to normal now.
I get flu shot each year and if they do this each year I'll get one of those too. Doesn't cost much and it does give me some peace of mind that at least I am doing my part to help reduce sprea ...[text shortened]... es. For my part I trust that the science is trying to do the right thing and support their efforts.
@suzianne saidSincerely I wish you good luck with that, many have gotten sick. Lets hope you don't and it all goes well. My niece is a LPN and her and a co-worker didn't get the shot and the rest of the staff did and they all got sick. I am really not dead sure which one it was so can't really say. The rest of us are yet to get our shots we had a shipment held back we were suppose to get that went somewhere else. I guess will be later in April or May, I don't think they know for sure. It is a hell of a mess. I believe they are still working on getting all the front line workers.

Dive has it spot on, the vaccine rollout isn't going to change a thing. World is in a worse state travel wise than it was 6 months ago, 'new waves', 'new variants', 'more deadly', 'faster spreading' load of old shyte.
I usually hate eating an busy restaurants but here it's great, tables crammed together, everyone eating, chatting, drinking... life goes on. Open the damn world back up.
@huckleberryhound saidGot my first shot 2 weeks ago . My 2nd is scheduled for next Saturday .
I was nearly giddy waiting in the queue, it was like the beginning of the end of a pissy year. Ireland isn't as far forward in it's vaccination process as, say the UK, but I got in early under the Ambulance service. (not a paramedic myself but i do patient transport).
They should have a bar open ready for the second dose, so we can all party.
@great-big-stees saidI believe it is second one people are having the biggest issues with or so I've been told by people who work in the medical profession. Good luck I am sure you will be fine.
Update: The day after I had my Moderna shot I had a "little" bout of feeling faint but that passed after a lay down of a couple of hours.

@very-rusty saidOh GREAT!!! Something to look forward to. 😲

@great-big-stees saidSome are also fine on the second shot, try and think positive! You see only front line workers have actually gotten the shots here so far as we are low on them suppose to have a bunch coming in this month and next. I heard on the news the U.S. already have 100 million vaccinated.
Oh GREAT!!! Something to look forward to. 😲

@great-big-stees saidSame here, and I haven't even had my first shot yet.

@kevin-eleven saidIf your flag is correct there are a 100 million of your people who have been vaccinated already. You must be considered low priority?
Same here, and I haven't even had my first shot yet.

I'm not an anti-vaxxer but I am concerned about this one. What if I have already had a mild case of Covid and my system is primed to overreact when it gets the first shot? I thought the idea in medicine was to at least do no harm. Maybe it's just a very small fraction of vaccine recipients who have serious problems with the vax, but there seem to be too many cases where the prevention is worse than just leaving things alone and taking one's chances.
