Late last night I finished the final story thread (roll credits.)
I stayed out of this thread to avoid spoilers and tips (I like to figure it all out 🙂 ). A huge relief - I can only use my TV once the wife goes to bed, so the only way I have managed to get the time in is by 11pm to 3am sessions.....maybe I can get my sleep patterns back to normal again.(That is, get more than 3.5 hours kip each night. Late nights and babies in the house are a deadly mix)
Magnificent game though, and massive respect (again) to the developers for making a PS2 stream a whole city. Flying a harrier around an urban environment was cool beyond belief (and more so at sunset.)
Rockstar North should get an Oscar for this one.

Yes, apparently you need low muscle and high fat to put the squeezin on that chick. Your sex appeal also must be at at least 50%. Easiest way to get it up there, is to get a sports car. When you get out of the car, your sex appeal will be high until you step a certain distance away from it.

well done on the completion. i think im getting near to the end - game was saying 69% before yesterdays play, or was that the day before ... who knows. - and i remember how gutted i was after id completed the last missin on vice city, so im trying to stay away from the missions for now and look for other interesting things to do, yesterday i took my private collection of sports cars to get painted and N2O'd up etc. i have stored in the lock up in SF with 4 garage spaces, nothing to do with the game just fancied making a collection. then i went and purchased a rather fetching all green outfit from Didier Sachs. damn im smooth.
does anyoe know what the hghest flying award is? i have made it to "ace"
didnt know this about the sportscar though, but had noticed my sex appeal fluctuating without any apparent change to my dudes appearance. thanks.
i agree. rockstar should gain some kind of commendation for this. are there oscar type awards for the computer gaming indusrty? if so we should register our support and they may crack on and get the next installment out!

they were having a right go at gta because this "disgusting" game allows you to "pick up poristitutes and then for an added bonus you can kill them and get your money back"

i felt like phoning in and complaining that theyre only telling half the story. im sure if they knew that once the pimping missions were completed they gave you their money anyway they wouldnt have thought it so gruesome.
as for my ideas on the next installemnt, i thought al capone era gangsters... it would leave little cool music for the radios though but some nice godfatheresque muic might be nice
useful hint for the day follows:
when doing the aeroplane "races" (more like timetrials) you can take the jet or the gunship to where you are actually standing by the airport entrance in las venturas (where you go to start the missions) get out for 30 seconds till it says you failed and then exit the race selection screen, turn round and there before you is the gunship/fighter you just stepped out of,.

Most importantly, who here is the baddest basketaball shooter? My longest shot is 17.10m which I got by running out of the half court and throwing while I couldn't actually see CJ on screen (use the force to guide you if trying this).
I found the full court in the docks area & I reckon 20m and more will be easy there. 😉
i have done this.
you just need to use the force.
keep trying as sometimes there seems to be more police after you - perhaps night time etc. also some of the destinations can look tricky to get to, down sveral small streets and such but i found going down little side streets easier than being on the motorway at some points.
ps - dont bother trying to drive the railtracks to get over there, i tried this twice \and bother times died due only to helicopter fire.
and anyway the trucking missions just get you a $2k collectible revenue - hardly worth the hassle of that final mission

think i did it third time. not that it was particularly hard to pass but the crane controls were different from the dockyard one and it took so long it was pissing me off. first time i smacked the wall with the truck dropping thebody and bike, second time i hadnt dropped the body from the crane and got in the dumper and drove off with the body dangling behind me on the crane, so i got out and put it back but ran out of time.
having said that - the freight missions in the train - couldnt get any easier and to get 50k for doing it!
ive been around completing all these things already only the firetruck missions left which i havent attempted.

thanks for the tip - the force is obviously strong in me today.
ive since completed the storyline, and may i say, what an easy last mission.
in fact the last few missions i found all easy, and completed them in one sitting. perhaps a suggestion for the next one is they make it a little tougher.
