Probably a good 45 minutes with a seasoned attorney beforehand... 😀

almost anything . . . .soy sauce, beer, plain old oil with some pepper and a little salt, just allow enough time to tenderize it a little

I like dry rubs better than marinades. A rib eye is tender enough it doesn't need a marinade. Try a cayenne pepper based rub. The market should have an assortment

Can meat ever be too tender?

For my tastes, a decent ribeye does not need anything except a little salt, pepper and garlic (to taste) sprinkled on just shortly before putting it on the charcoal grill. Some people prefer to let it sit out and get closer to room temperature before cooking, but I don't know if that really makes that much difference.

In some restaurants Argentina the best steaks are cut with spoons, to show how tender they are.

the ribeye was rubbed on both sides with crushed garlic, olive oil, salt and pepper. it was then grilled over mesquite and all was right with the world. the whiskey wasn't bad either.😀

I agree whole heartedly...I think a marinade kills a ribeye.

Haven't had one lately...have been so hooked on beef chuck eye steaks....alot cheaper and taste even better I think.

And for them I do the same thing...salt and pepper and maybe a little garlic
