Just done a search of the forums and I am distressed that typing Half Man Half Biscuit into the search engine yields no results!

Frankly, I think it is a shocking indictment of the "Culture" forum that a band that recorded such classics as Joy Division Oven Gloves, Bad Losers on Yahoo Chess and All I want for Christmas is a Dukla Prague away kit do not warant a single mention. Therefore I have decided to create this thread.

Apologies to the 99.9% of users who will have absolutely no idea what I am talking about!

Yeah, because if nobody knows about the band then it's hip to like it.

Once they become known, the hip thing to say is "I liked them before they
turned mainstream". Totally deck.

Thanks for reading. Now I'll go and drink some Pabst, smoke Chesterfields,
and grow an ironic mustache.

Used to listen to them a lot when I was a student. "Trumpton Riots"! Caught the spirit of the age, for sure.

They are still around, they last released an album in 2007 & I saw them live last year at The Robin Club in Bilston!

Regarding HMHB selling out to the mainstream, they have been going since 1986 and haven't done so yet. They are the perfect response to seriousness, stuffiness and the vacuous "reality" drivel that is rapidly replacing culture in the UK. Nobody is safe from their humour: Celebrities, politicians, the media, religious zealots, middle and upper class idiots, other bands, public transport etc etc!
