I know for me personally GB helped ruin what was once a pretty decent forum.

Luckily there are other places I can go.

Wondering if Red Hot Pawn would be acceptable to you and your tight knit groupie if it was populated with people whose style was identical to yours and whose personality was made in the spitting image of you. There is a ton of condescension to be experienced here, in all the forums, and my take on it is because it's a chess site. I figure a popular chess site is going to be a magnet for highly opinionated people who fancy themselves intellectuals.

I enjoy most of the back and forth. I wouldn't come here if I didn't.

I'm with Great Big Stees... (other than some of the spirituality discussions) I don't take the forums, or myself, too seriously.
