A travesty down there for sure - NZ Marmite - with its almost honey-like smell and aftertaste - is the only "Marmite" you can get in Australia, although when I lived there I did come across "My Mate" sometimes, which was U.K. Marmite under a different brand. The Australians themselves make something called Promite, which was a passable Marmite-like substance.
