There are many people in the world who were born rich. Their parents might have worked hard to obtain a wealth but their children might never learn how to manage money and make money work. You may be right in saying that the royal families have much money undeservedly, but I wouldn't say that they are not needed.
I'm referring to money the family didn't earn, like the hordes of taxpayer money spent subsidizing their lifestyles.

There is an emotional bond that goes back generations. The Swedish royal family represents a tradition of stability without political power.

They're just another celebrity couple to me. I don't really care.

I will say that it's admirable Harry is willing to stand by his wife even to the point of losing Royal status. As a prince, he should have no trouble finding a beautiful woman, yet he gave it all up out of his devotion to her.

Out of all the "fairytale weddings" associated with the Royal Family, that one is the real fairytale romance; a man who'd give up his royalty for his lady.

It costs each Brit something like £1.25 a year (67 million in total) while they bring in an approximate 600 million through tourism etc.
