** DISCLAIMER ** The first link in this post shows part of the plot for the latest Harry Potter book. If you don't want the plot ruined for yourself because you haven't read the book, than don't frickin' open the link!

--------------------------

Ever wondered how to ruin a book opening?

Easy! First get a sneak preview of the book before it hits the shelves. Then buy a plain white t-shirt a big black marker pen. Use your brand spanking new pen to write what the major plot twist is that has been hyped up to be the core of the book, and then wear said t-shirt to one of the book's grand opening!

Unfortunately, proudly showing your new t-shirt results in this effect:

And like our t-shirt wearing friend, you will be chased out of the building by angry book fans!

i know it's just a Harry Potter book...but i really can't comprehend the mentality of someone who'd go to the trouble to spoil the fun for the kids. seems really mean-spirited to me.

What I can't comprehend is the people who queue outside bookstores at midnight for special publication-day openings.
Is getting the book 9 hours before anyone else really that important?
At 607 pages, they'd have to be very fast readers to have any advantage over the normal-hours book buyer.

i agree in the case of adults, but it must be such a blast for the kids - dressing up as their favourite character, getting to stay up way past bedtime and go out somewhere where there'll be lots of other little kids, getting the book. and for someone to go out of their way to try to ruin it...sheesh, it's grinch-like...

no, he means to find out the plot, it happens on page 606 and the rest of the book is nothing big.

no. i htink you will find that the english version is 607 pages and the american version is 652.

I assume this is because the publishers realise that the americans need a bigger font to read the book properly?

That's interesting...I had no idea there was a difference between the books released. Hmmm.

Alll i can add is that, I think the adults look more upset then the kids. A couple of them look truly gutted, whereas the kids seem quite amused by it all.

Don't you people realise, J.K. Rowling is the fiction, the books were written by Rita Skeeter, and Draco Malfoy's father uses the dark arts to make muggle sprogs rush like lemmings to buy them.

There are some book stores for some reason have hundreds of
people waiting to buy the book at midnight. While others just drive
to the grocery store that are open 24/7 and no lines all night.
Go figure.

now wait a minute. That guy and those people are NOT in the same room. You can tell by the floor and lights. One is clearly a convenience store, likely a gas station by the link. The other is a bookstore. Now maybe he DID walk in like that, but the pictures aren't taken in the same place.

Aside from that, that lady isn't shocked she's just yawning. The people in line aren't even responding. HOAX! They're not looking at his shirt, they're looking at somebody taking a picture. I bet he wasn't even wearing that shirt when taking the picture, if it eve was him taking the picture.
