My friend Alvin saw it and said that it was the worst movie he had ever seen. But then again he's 14.

It was good for what its worth. Giving you a visual perspective on some key elements of the book. Alot was left out though(including important parts). All in all, I would recommend seeing it if you are a Harry Potter fan. Just don't set yourself up for seeing a masterpiece for you will be very disappointed.

It beats the crap out of the first three films.

it's pretty good. Ralph Fiennes as Voldemort is awesome.

I'll see it on Monday, with my kids (9), my wife (no comment) and mother (68). Will post after that.
No, I'm not a HP fan, but it's enjoyable. Still, not a patch on the pure fantasy of Narnia - which has made it a much more difficult series to film. My criticism of the latest book is that it was almost written as a screenplay for the movie and leaves little to the imagination.

I agree. It's the worse one of the series. Very long and very boring.

You're joking? This fourth book was the best of the series. Rowling finally got the freedom to write a more in depth book that actually included some social interactions. This was the first book that I really enjoyed.

I just saw the movie and liked it. It was certainly the best of the four. It cut out a lot of important parts, but was enjoyable and humorous. I'd reccommend it.
