I also know more about everday life in Russia, especially horrific motor vehicle accidents involving cars trucks, buses, traffic lights and snow.

YouTube for me is chess videos and heavy metal.

No not your stupid rock from the 80's which you think is metal 🙄

Aside from that YouTube has been there when I needed to learn something.

It is a good thing.

Yes, I’m physically fitter, cook better, am more informed upon our world and have done some washing machine and dishwasher repairs.

YouTube started out as a really good thing - and then the bean counters at the company decided to pad their accounting ledgers by cramming the videos full of ad's, sometimes one every 3-4 min. I don't do youtube much anymore. 😕

i've been a mechanic most all my life
when it comes to repairs i am quite handy, too
when i am faced with a job i've not yet done, or just require a refresher, youtube has so many videos, covering so many subjects, i often look there first

has youtube changed my life?

Yes, you do. I know a lady that does all her home repairs herself. She is now over 65 and still working in a Nursing home, still doing her own home repairs. Even mows her own grass, shovels her own snow. Stays very active which she claims keeps her young. She has had one knee replacement. I've known her for about 30 years now I guess it would be, man where did the time go?
