For those in the UK there is a film documentary about Kasparov's battle with Deep Blue on bbc4 at 9pm tonight, it's meant to be an engrossing look at man vs the corporate giant.

I've seen it on DVD. It's a fascinating documentary, which raises as many questions as it answers. Did the I.B.M. team behave properly and ethically? Why did Kasparov play so badly? Was there human intervention in some of the moves made by Deep Blue? These are the kind of questions the documentary considers.

The only disappointing aspect for me, is that we don't see any actual chess moves! But the games played in the match should be well-known to everyone.
