Here in Aus it gets pretty damn hot too. The hottest i have ever been in was 46.5 (115.7 Fahrenheit) and can remember plenty of days when it has been over 44. Some weeks in summer, the days dont go below 40 and the nights hover around 30. The sun is so vicious over here.

Here on the tip of Africa, 36C is not uncommon - and I too always heard that rumour.... Urban legend me thinks.

I am sitting on the balcony, but it starts getting too cold (even with the laptop as a heat pad). Either I'll have to put on warmer clothes or go back inside.
