I just remembered what I did with some mates about 3 years ago on school computers. I found photos.
The school computers have these crappy speakers, inbuilt into the computer and swivel in one spot, you may not know, but they are built like this.

Where the // is the headphone jack.
So, one day, we got into the technology junk yard, and found about 16, no kidding, 16 of them. So, we did something real simple; we plugged on speaker into another, through the headphone jack. What happened was about 16 of these plugged into one PSU (oh, how naive we were), and put in my USB stick, which was loaded with MP3s, and started playing music.
The result was, a tinny speaker sound amplified 16 times on one 450 Watt PSU. Needless to say, we had to find another PSU, but my god, that was fun.
Why I bring this up now? The school is selling them for 5 dollars each.
Expect new and updated photos real soon.
