Have you looked under the network mat?
i went into the advanced properties of the network connection and it shows the network key blocked out, so i can change thing on this computer using my network key but i can't see what the network key is. anywhere.

so i bought a new netbook and i'm trying to connect it to my wireless network. i'm being asked for my network key, i don't remember it and for the life of me i can't find it on this computer. help.

Check on the router - some companies slap a sticker with it on underneath or on the side.
Failing that, it should be somewhere in the documentation you got with it.
Failing that, what model router is it?
model no. dsl-g604t
there was a sticker on it with numbers but neither of them what i need.
