I'm planning on a trip to Poland next August with my girlfriend and her best friend, who by happy coincidence is Polish. I'm wondering how much it will cost for cheap eating and wandering around Warsaw for 3 or 4 weeks. Rent isn't a problem because her family has a house we can use. I guess the weak dollar means that things will be slightly more expensive for me than they were a couple years ago, but I'm hoping cost of living will still be pretty low.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Oh, and recommendations for cheap food, good coffee, and interesting things in general are also appreciated.

Kampinoski National Park is supposed to be good, as apparently the Tatra Mountains afford beautiful views .

I read it on the net, as you should! 😏

My personal advice is to begin sightseeing of Poland from any otehr country than Warsaw. With Krakow, Wroclaw,Poznan, Gdansk or Szczecin at hand it does not seem reasonable.Of course, it depends on what you want to do, but it seems that you gonna hike, try the other cities, or get to Tatras or Bieszczady National Park.

As to the living costs, they shall be reasonable for you, even with weak dollar( however, now you get in Poland about 2 zl for a dollar).
For example, the leaf of bread costs approx. 3 zl. , a bottle of cola 2zl, a beer in the pub ranges from 6 to 10. If you want any specific info, tell what ya want to now.
