Need to know the filename. Quick test, reboot your machine try delete. If no luck, it's being used by a component for some reason or another, probably at startup. Best not to delete it then until you know what uses it.

cheers

Two possible solutions:
1) Rename this dll, WinXP will let you do it even if file is in use. Reboot. Delete.
2) Boot in the safe mode and try to delete from there.

However if system reports that file is in use, it probably would be better to find out what is using it and eliminate culprit as well.

Could try running SpyBot search and destroy, if its spyware it will delete and put your computer's system settings back to where they were the first time. Worked for me. I presume bargain buddy is spyware, I remember doing the scans and it keeps popping up.

I had this problem last week. I wouldn't bother with the spybot it is just a pain in the ass. Backup any files that you have to keep and reload windows. Download all of the updates and then install an anti-virus program. I would suggest waiting until you've finished that before you reload any programs you use (especially ones downloaded from the internet).

Rename AND reboot! Why of course!Reboot to have it shut down, and it won't start up 'cause it's renamed.Stupid me,I only tried to rename and delete it,without rebooting.
Thanks man,worked like a charm!
And thanks everyone else for taking the time to help out. Most appreciated 😀

I'm bargain buddy free! 😀😉😛

Any u mental? All u have to do is download an anti spyware program like XoftSpy to get rid of it. I had it a couple of weeks ago.

SirLoseAlot, you reckon you're free of it now after just renaming the dll. I'd be very surprised. Download XoftSPy (free for scanning) and run a system scan. Bargain Buddy brings along a few more of his buddies for a little spyware/adware party on your pc.

Check out magazines that have cover CD/DVDs and check if they have things like Registry cleaners and so forth...they help alot too.

Bargain Buddy is gone allright. And so are it's buddies,I had no problem deleting them.I did not simply change the name,I changed the name in order to be able to delete it.
I ran adaware, and according to that,my computer is now free of spyware.
