Ok, I just went out to the store on my lunchbreak. I needed to get out of the office for a bit. So, I went into this store just to browse around. While I'm in there, I think all of the 10 people who worked at the store had to come up to me and say, "Hello, Sir. How are you today?". By about the 5th time, I was ready to snap! Is anyone else sick of this phony friendliness in stores?

Try going in a furniture store in my area! First they come up with the "Can I help you?", then when I tell them I'm just looking around they REFUSE to get out of my face! They immediately start trying to show me all their special sales and when I tell them, "Just let me look around", they keep running their mouths. That's when I "snap" and tell the salesperson I want to see the manager.

When he comes I start questioning him about "What's WRONG WITH YOU, that you train these people like this!??? I want your regional manager's address cause when I get done with you - you won't have a job anymore!" 😠

Oh yeah, that's a sane and rational thing to do. 🙄

Kick 'em in the shins and run away laughing. It's the only logical thing to do.

I just got a love PM from Nyxie, I would love to share it... but PM stands for Private Message... so I can't tell you anything about it.

Well I don't know what you're complaining about! Service here is crap and I'd much rather have a dozen flakey employees coming to offer me service any day than desperately wanting service and not getting any. You could walk into a shop on fire here throwing money out from all your pockets and you still wouldn't get a second glance. And to make it worse there's hardly a place in town that actually will put a price tag on anytihng. Wal mart now has self check outs. You go shopping, get your stuff, scan it and pay for it without any service. Over at Superstore you have to pay for your bags and then bag your groceries yourself! While the check out girl just sits there rolling her eyes as the next customer begins unloading their cart (which you have to pay a dollar to even get to use, although refunded when you've finished) So I wouldn't complain about any sales employee eagerly wishing and wanting to be at my beck and call for a change. Count yourself lucky.
