I hate shopping and I hate shopping assistants buzzing around me like vultures even more.
Luckily, by the time I'm forced to go shopping I'm usually in such a foul mood that most people stay well away from me anyway.
But, should some arse-wipe come up to me in a shop (or outside a shop or in a park or WHEREVER) and ask me how I am doing today, I ...[text shortened]... ew disasters to let the arse-wipe comprehend the full scale of the shite he's got himself into.
I get tired of the fake friendliness too (especially when their not even trying), but what I hated worse was being on the other end, actually working in customer service. It wasn't hard to be nice to people for a little while, but after you get enough customers who seem to have made it their personal misson to ruin your day (or your life, if they can), its really easy to just stop caring, and "Hi how are you?" really means "ugh, not another one!"
Its funny though, I worked at a library too. Same situation, but usually no money involved. Everyone seemed so much happier, unless they had overdue fines, of course. Then the misery came right back.😕

Well I don't know what you're complaining about! Service here is crap and I'd much rather have a dozen flakey employees coming to offer me service any day than desperately wanting service and not getting any. You could walk into a shop on fire here throwing money out from all your pockets and you still wouldn't get a second glance. And to make it worse the ...[text shortened]... ployee eagerly wishing and wanting to be at my beck and call for a change. Count yourself lucky.
