DID YOU PLACE YOUR MOUSE ON THE SCREEN OR JUST USE THE CURSER? YOU MUST PLACE YOUR ACTUAL MOUSE ON THE SCREEN FOR THIS TO WORK.
Now it might be because I recently imported a volume group from another system and the logical volumes on that system where LVM1 whereas this PC has been set up with LVM2. I'm pretty sure I converted it correctly. However, as I had a resiserfs filesystem on the logical volumes, I am wondering if the inode table (if reiserfs has an inode table though I guess it must at least have vnodes) might have gone a bit screwy. Anyway, I didn't think it was such a good idea to have reiserfs on the root filesystem because, well you know, maybe I'll import it on a pre 2.6 machine one day which doesn't have LVM support built in and then I won't be able to mount the root filesystem and we know what that means. So I was about to convert it to an ext2 filesystem, despite its size when I saw the clever post about a secret RHP room.
Naturally, I assume that everyone has the same system I do which is with a completely customized key map to stop people doing dumb things so I tried the ALT F4 and nothing happened.
Perhaps you could help.
