More importantly, why would you want such high sepcs that the very point of having a laptop is undermined.
Laptops should be light and efficient machines that get the job done.
Not mega-video-gaming-media-stations for practically double(or triple) the cost of a comparable desktop.

around 2500 US. I just got a nice light Gateway with some nice
features, DVD burner, widescreen LCD, 60 Gig HD, about 2.2 GHz.
speed and it has built in wireless 802 connection which is neat,
I can use it in bed and I am connected instantly to my home
wireless net no fuss no muss. The Sony is a lot bigger and heavier,
nice screen but my Gateway is small and light and still powerful.
It has the Intel Centrino CPU which means the battery life is extended
about 30 percent. The screen is the right size to view DVD movies,
its nice.
BTW I got it at Best Buy, used to hate the place till they turned down
the godawful noise, so many stereo's, boom boxes, TV's, Car radios
on at once, used to dread going in there. They toned it down about
30 db so I can stand it in there now. I mentioned Best buy because
they now offer a warrenty, about 1/3 the cost of the machine, but
it covers your laptop if it gets run over by a mac truck, first one of its
kind I ever saw, thats three year protection. Best insurance out there
I think. I dread dropping my brand new machine and smashing the
LCD screen, so thats covered.
BTW, you can get a mouse just for laptops if you don't like the
slider pads, it has a little wireless (probably bluetooth) USB port
stick a bit smaller than those flash memory sticks that connects
to a wireless mouse, also no fuss, runs instantly, XP recognises it
fine, nice little mouse. My wife loves it. I just use the pad but
if you don't like it, try the wireless laptop mouse.
