The sentence, "Life is chess game of experiences we play" is attributed to Dr. Timothy Leary by Frank Brady in Bobby Fischer: Profile of a Prodigy (p. 124). Brady claims that Leary had been using chess pieces to prepare his subjects for their LSD journey.

I'm looking for corroborating references for Leary's work with chess in conjunction with his drug experiments, as well as for the source Brady used for the quotation.

I don't know anything about Dr. Leary, but if it's the effects of LSD you're studying I'd recommend Thread 45345

Robert Anton Wilson refers to Leary in numerous books, specifically referring to Leary's work in Cosmic Trigger and prometheus rising. www.rawilson.com .

Leary's lsd experiments and research had a lot to do with set and setting so I imagine he used a lot of different props to get the right state of mind for his metaprogramming research.

Thanks for the interesting link. Not quite what I'm looking for, however, as Wilson's work is tertiary vis-a-vis Leary's research. I'm looking for primary sources that might corroborate Brady's account.
