I'm fairly new to Red Hot Pawn, but I was scrolling around the forums and came across that Ironman31 guy. I'm sure it's all been discussed before, but I read something about him cheating - is that true? Is there a thread somewhere that I can't find with the whole story?

Many thanks

Lextopia is an anagram of ironman.

I think I am on to something here either that or its the lack of sleep.

But really have a look on here

Why do you care? Move on.

Right well perhaps I'm blind but that search only led to a confirmation that ironman was banned; it gave no explanation. Thank you anyway though. Can anyone just say whether he was deemed guilty of cheating? A yes or no answer? It would be very kind to satisfy my curiosity.

Thanks

I care because the notion that one of the site's strongest players in the past was a cheater seems pretty shocking to me. I don't question your interests, friend, so leave mine be.

Of course he was deemed guilty of cheating otherwise he would not have been banned. Whether he was actually cheating is a matter that was/is disputed by many people on the site.

Alright, makes sense. There are other ways of getting banned - forum abuse, subscription problems or whatever. Well thanks anyway.

Any chance it was called fritz?

No it was a program that directly interfered with the RHP programming so he could erase your pieces at will.

9.44 is much stronger, letting you add pieces as well as remove them. Here is a game I am playing on another site that lets you use Chess Munch 9.44.

White to move!
