My wife and I have never been to Germany and are considering a holiday there next year probably in early September.
Because we can get cheap flights from our local airport we are considering two options at the moment;
1. Flying to Amsterdam and driving to Dusseldorf and then where-ever
2. Flying to Prague and driving to Dresden or Nuremberg or M ...[text shortened]... know about these areas and which might be the better choice would be very welcome
Thanks
🙂

Part of it is in October.
if you want to go try and book a table in advance, otherwise you'll risk standing outside the tents and not getting in (great if the weather is nice, rubbish if it's not)
Or you'll have to go to the wine-tent, which sucks (at a beer festival)

Why would you fly to Prague if you live in Switzerland? Just get on the Autobahn go North to Munich. You'll see beautiful countryside along the way.
They go to other places of course but these two airports give reasonable access to Germany.

I always do that, it's happened to me soooo many times.
I've sent out monthly reports with that mistake in.
Thanks for pointing it out.
PS: Read the travel advice for Poland anyway, it's funny. Then read the travel advice for the Czech Republic.

Fortunately they don't seem to have the same problems in the Czech republic.
